Pray Continually

1 Thessalonians 5:17 is one of the shortest verses in the Bible. It's small in size, but massive in scope. "Pray continually." (NIV) "Pray without ceasing." (KJV) "Never stop praying." (NLT) "Pray all the time." (The Message) So what does it mean? I want to hear your comments. When you think about 1 Thes. 5:17, how does it impact you?

It impacts me by saying that no matter what you are to pray and praise God. Don't just pray because you're asking for something to happen. That seems like all we ever do is pray when we realy need something done, but God wants us to pray to him every day all the time for the good and the bad. We rejoice when we are happy, we should rejoice when we are sad too, because we have the faith that God is going to bring us through what ever trail we are or shall face. Pray Continually...through every circumstance!! :]

that's a good question. i think it can mean to pray for every circumstance. i think it could mean that we are to just communicate with God throughout our day. i think it could mean to not stop praying just because we haven't got an answer.
